To say I love to travel wouldn’t be totally true. I do love to experience other places and people, but equally love being home and in a routine. Knowing our kids have 6 more years before fleeing to college, Chris and I have decided to make a concerted effort to travel with the kids and show them all the great places we love, and give them experiences instead of “things”.
This Christmas, we put "the money where the mouth is" philosophy in motion, and took the kids to New York City after Christmas when the city is dressed to-the-nines, and the spirit of holiday lingers for at least another week! It was great! We even drove up the Eastern shore and sat in old-fashioned traffic on the Jersey Turnpike. We talked, had conversations and had fun listening to music. So why don't we do this more often?
Life is blazing by, and we are excited to start off 2017 with a feeling of wanderlust and rambling to different places! Where to next? I have always said that there is so much to see in our own beautiful state of Virginia, so we shared the list with all of you!
Most of my travel has been work related (Taxco, Mexico for silver, India for jewelry making and NYC, Atlanta, Vegas, etc...) and they are all great places to see and experience. What is the most exotic place you have ever been? Tell us all about it and where you plan to go next! Here is another list we posted in case you needed inspiration!
If you follow us on social media, you can see I just came back from an amazing buying trip to Atlanta, where shopping is a sport! I promise you are going to LOVE what is coming up this year! We LOVE shopping for you and LOVE having you as customers! As a matter of fact, LOVE is going to be a BIG word for us this year, so stay tuned... and give in to travel and wandering. Sure makes life fun!
